Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Atlanta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I recently joined and I love windy hill athletic center! I have been taking the Pilates reformer classes and it has been exactly what I needed to get back into my health journey. Diana the Pilates instructor is amazing and patient. I have a serious broken foot injury I’m recovering from and she helps me modify to get the most out of class. All the equipment it’s great and the pool is nice. Towel service and a nice ladies locker room with a hot tub. Couldn’t ask for a better place in my neighborhood. I don’t have kids but I do notice they have a lot of activities for the little ones-all smiling and having a good time. The tennis facility is also very nice. I’ve been spending my Saturday and Sundays here and I love it. Thank you! Alisha

We toured the facility and tried it out for a little under a week and enjoyed the club and welcoming staff. The price is a little steep, but if you utilize all services and go often it is certainly worth it. The only issue was commute time for us. Kristie Tobias was particularly helpful throughout the process.

Love this club! The team is hospitable and welcoming. The open space on the workout floor is motivating and energizing - flooded with natural light and good vibes. The classes are fire - especially Maria’s classes in The Pit.

Windy Hill Athletic Club is genuinely one of my favorite places in Atlanta to work out. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there’s a strong community feel that makes it easy to stay consistent. There are plenty of classes with something for everyone, and they also host lots of social events, which is a really nice bonus. One of my favorite parts is the 30-minute Sprint spin classes with Caroline—they’re incredibly intense in the best way. She pushes you to your max and keeps the energy high, and it’s the kind of workout I simply wouldn’t get if I were trying to do cardio on my own. For the price, I do think the facility could use a few upgrades in certain areas, but overall it’s still a great value—especially since they recently installed all brand-new equipment, which is a big plus. If you want a solid club with great classes, a friendly team, and a supportive vibe, I’d absolutely recommend Windy Hill Athletic Club.
